Steven Spielberg's upcoming movie "War Horse" was adapted for the screen from the children's book of 1982. This epic story is set against the backdrop of World War I and tells the story of a remarkable bond between a horse(Joey) and the man that tamed and trained him(Albert). As the war begins, Joey and Albert are forced apart as Joey travels through battlefields and touches the lives of various people.

We experience the Great War, in all of its glory as well as its destruction, through the eyes of this magnificent horse. Although the storyline is very similar to The Colt, which takes place during the Civil War, War Horse will most certainly be a step above it by virtue of Spielberg's expert handling and the lush backdrops of England and France.

War Horse was originally due in theaters in November, 2011, but has recently been pushed back to Christmas, 2011.
